Fabulous 50th Birthday Bash....

I had the pleasure of working with a dear friend in creating a 50's themed birthday party for a client. We worked on this event for 3 months making calls, researching and putting our creative flair to this event.
We hired Ruby's Diner to make dinner for each guest that attended the party. Also, Ruby's made unlimited shakes for the guests as well. What a big hit it all was!
The greatest part...we were asked to work the event and dress the part. I LOVED my outfit!!
I was also hired by my friend Amber to make a dessert table as well as a candy buffet.
Thank you Amber for giving me the opportunity to work with you and create such a great event!!

This is my dessert table with consisted of...chocolate cupcakes filled with cherry filling and topped with vanilla buttercream and a cherry on top. Also, chocolate cupcake pops and sugar cookies with an edible image. Image was designed by my friend Amber.

Cute record signs were made by Amber.

Fun 50th birthday cake.

I made these cute cupcake pop stands out of candle sticks and actual records found at a local antique store.

Sugar cookies

I spent a few hours researching candies that were popular in the era. What great candy I came across. We had Waxed lips, Mary Jane's, Lemon Heads, Fire Ball's, Abba-Zaba's to name a few. Each place setting contained a small coca-cola glass which was given to each guest to place their candy in at the buffet.

We ordered a checkered dance floor which really made the party pop.

Tables were decorated as a diner theme. Each table contained a napkin holder, condiment holder and a straw holder. Amber then made music note napkin rings, menus and the small coca-cola glasses were at each place setting as well.

We ordered many cute props to add to the event.

A soda-jerk was hired. We even had Ruby's making ice cream shakes for each the guest.

I'm going to post some more pictures of the table settings and guests.
What a great party!!!

A quick blog update... which I'm so behind on!!

Baby Dedication...think pink

This was for a client who requested something sweet for her daughter's dedication party.

Simple and sweet.

BBQ bash...super festive sweets

This order was for a BBQ Birthday for a sweet lady.
Love the wooden spoon.

Couldn't go without making hamburger themed cupcakes. The patty of the burger was a brownie and the sauce is colored buttercream.

Here are a few Valentines Day cakes...definitely not as many like last year (my cake buddy was home with morning sickness...couldn't even think of asking her to make sweets)
Yes...this little bee is actually a cake. I came up with the design during a sleepless night.

Love his little face!

A client was having a Valentines Day party for her friends and wanted a cake a to celebrate the event. Not include in the picture where pops and heart shaped whoopie pies.

Another cute bee!

Birthday Celebrations....bugs and princesses

This little cake was for my daughter's teacher. We were a bit late on her celebration but I think we made up for it!
Flowers totally helped out!

Was missing something on the cake so, I designed some cute flowers.

One of my heaviest cakes yet. This was for a little girls princess party. They were wanting something to fit the theme and smallish. Umm..it fits the theme..but not the size.
I ENJOYED working on this cake as was really proud of my work.

Door actually looks like wood.

My princess...LOVE her!

Christmas...playing catch up big time

Mrs. Claus cookies for her elves at Disneyland. She placed some last year and the request was asked again for this year.

And that's a quick blog UPDATE!!
