One Cute Cake

So, this cake deserves it's only spot in this post! I am so proud of this cake and I'm so thankful to my friend who gave me this order. There are people in your life that push you to be better and challenge you in life and who believe in you. We'll that's my friend Aly (and my husband)!! My little partner in crime..cake crime that is.
Anyway...this by far is my biggest cake! That's until next week. But I love this cake. The bottom of the cake is a 10 inch red velvet filled with cream cheese frosting and then covered in vanilla buttercream and wrapped in fondant. The top cake is a 6 inch yellow cake filled with ganache and then frosted with vanilla buttercream and wrapped in fondant. This cake had to weigh at least 10 to 15 pounds. The accents were zebra print with little black dresses and topped with a bow...all made out of fondant.
Super fabulous celebration cake!!!

Baby Shower and Birthdays

I've been so super busy with orders that my journaling has taken a back seat! Here are a few celebration cakes and cupcakes that have been filling my time.

Mother Duck

This order was for a baby shower. The mother-to-be does not know the sex of her baby yet so, with that I made girl duckies (flowers on there heads) and boy duckies. I made a 6 inch cake to look like a wooden tub with the mother ducky inside.
I was so happy how this order came out!

Baby girl duck and boy duck.

Twin Girls

This order was for two cute twin girls 1st birthdays. I was happy to make their little celebration a bit sweeter! The theme of the event was butterflies and flowers.
Below I made two smash cakes with the girls initials on them.

Cupcakes made for the guests.

Superman Birthday

I actually made this cake and cupcakes in honor of my father-in-law. He's a snicker-doodle lover so I made snicker-doodle cupcakes as well as cookies.
They were SUPER yummy!!
